PRESSURE SOLUTIONS
Some properties suffer from a poor water main delivery.

There can be a variety of reasons for this, such as;
- The property is located on top of a hill and the water supply is poor
- Pipework from the road may have been partially flattened due to subsidence
- There may be a number of properties sharing the same supply pipe
- The Water Supplier may have lowered the pressure to reduce leakage
Baths and Shower pressure – Hotel quality
When you visit a hotel, you expect gushing showers, and fast filling baths. If the shower stopped working properly when the chef opened the sink tap, or the shower made a noise that woke up everyone else in the building, you’d complain.

But many of us live with precisely these problems at home.

HWCH can upgrade your hot and cold systems to deliver a similar performance to that you would find in a hotel, that will work silently and cost effectively.

We install two alternative systems to cater for almost every eventuality.

ColdStream is a solution that allows combination boilers to work up to their full potential and significantly lessens ‘modulation’ of water outlets. Therefore, if your shower slows up when the washing machine starts or someone in your building runs a cold tap, we have a solution.

ColdStream will also transform an existing poorly performing unvented cylinder installation, we would be pleased to advise on specific applications.

Similarly, we can upgrade a ‘heatstore’ system suffering from poor water flow.

DualStream is a hot and cold water system to which you just add taps.  DualStream uses the ColdStream accumulator coupled to an unvented cylinder.

We can configure and install the system in your property and it will run off electricity or your existing boiler.

This system will deliver mains pressure high volumes of water to numbers of outlets simultaneously, silently, with pumps. Run two baths and a shower at the same time – no problem!   The water main size and length is immaterial.

About DualStream and Coldstream
Many homes in the UK have a poor water supply flow rate. This can be due to a number of factors, such as the water authority lowering pressure to prevent leakage. But the most common reason is undersized, scaled up or flattened incoming pipework.

ColdStream and DualStream are accumulators, that is, like a rechargeable battery, they trickle charge when connected to the water mains, until a full charge is reached. When you use hot and cold outlets, a vast supply of water is waiting to be used, under pressure in your home.

The pressure is maintained by a large air bladder which is compressed by the incoming water until equilibrium is reached. No external power is used, other than the standing pressure from the water main.

A ColdStream/DualStream solution will work on water mains with a very poor flow rate. It will also supply water even if the main is off line for maintenance.
