Poor hot and cold water performance? Some properties suffer from a poor water main delivery.

My Megaflo (unvented cylinder) system runs out of water in the shower when the toilet is flushed! The same could also happen when you run a bath and a shower. That is because you haven't got enough water coming in from the road. Your installer should have checked the flow rate was significantly above 25 litres per minute before recommending an unvented hot and cold water system. We are amazed at the number of properties we see where a pressurised hot and cold water system has been promised to deliver amazing showers and fast bath fill performance, and it hasn't lived up to expectations. If you installer didn't measure the water flow and pressure before selling you an unvented system, he should have been riding a horse. My Combination boiler shower stops working when the washing machine fills up. Once again, the water supply to a combination boiler makes all the difference to the system usability. Many houses are converted to combination boilers and have all taps switched to direct mains water supplies, without the water supply performance being measured first. ColdStream can also transform an existing poorly performing unvented cylinder installation, we would be pleased to advise on specific applications. Similarly, we can upgrade a ‘heatstore’ system suffering from poor water flow. ColdStream is a cold water booster solution, it couples to your existing method of heating hot water, such as an unvented cylinder, combination boiler or heatstore. DualStream is a hot and cold water system to which you just add taps. DualStream uses the ColdStream accumulator coupled to an unvented hot water cylinder. We can configure and install the system in your property and it will run off electricity or your existing boiler. This system will deliver mains pressure high volumes of water to numbers of outlets simultaneously, silently, with pumps. Run two baths and a shower at the same time – no problem!
