Golf Club gets new boiler plant for showers

We are in Oxted, Surrey, UK at the picturesque Tandridge Golf Club. Having put in a new Worcester Bosch boiler system and Evohome at the home of one of the management team, they were sufficiently impressed to ask were we could have a look at a much larger commercial installation in the male and female showering block. We found that other contractors had previously been approached but some felt it was too big for them, others did not really grasp what the management team were looking for. The problem was that on match days, large numbers of golfers would descend […]
Commercial boiler Design and Installation at premier Surrey Golf Club

Tandridge Golf Club was designed by the renowned Harry Colt in 1924, and today is judged as one of the top 100 golf courses in the UK. Situated in a rural location near Oxted, in Surrey (UK), it has a thriving membership and is a beautiful course; the main club buildings date from 1928 and have been carefully retained to the present day (unfortunately the first clubhouse burnt down in 1927, exacerbated by the thatched roof). It is popular every day, with golfers seemingly happy to battle in all weathers at all times of the year, perhaps encouraged by the excellent dining […]
Large old listed country house – 155Kw boiler system renewal
We’ve just replaced the boiler plant in a very large country residence in Sussex (July 2013). The old oil fired Worcester Bosch system heated the house, which was mainly comprised of 60 yr old radiators and large bore steel pipe, as an entire single entity without any zone control. The oil bill (no mains gas here) was £12K per annum. Our customer looked at a number of options, but liked our approach best. Our unique proposal was to improve the efficiency of the boiler room by using weather compensation and load sharing – reduce consumption of oil and increase comfort, […]
Replacement water system in cellar for multi bathroom residence
ºOur customer has a large 3 storey Victorian detached property in Dulwich. In common with many houses in this area, an old gravity fed hot and cold water system using loft tanks was employed. Our customer wished to gradually update his house to new mains pressure fed bathrooms, using European high pressure taps, and wisely didn’t fancy the prospect of shower pumps. He also wanted to make use of the loft space currently occupied by the large water tanks, and remove the old copper hot water storage cylinder on the 1st floor to make room for another shower. Our brief was […]
